Swing into Romance OTT Release: The English Romantic Comedy ‘Swing into Romance’ is to premiere on 29th November on Netflix. The film is directed by Bradley Walsh and written by Marcy Holland.
Plot
The story of the film revolves around Christine who returns to her hometown. She is there to meet her parents and spend a nice time with them. On this same trip back to her parents, it comes to her notice that her parent’s Grocery store is in bad shape. Seeing this, Christine feels compelled to help her parents out, and hence an idea takes shape in her mind.
Christine decides to revamp the grocery store and open it again with a fresh start. As Christine’s mind overworks trying to figure out a good idea to bring her parent’s general store to life once more. The idea of using her previous talent for dancing to perhaps make a chance at booming the business back to it’s former glory comes to her mind.
One of her friends tells her about some dance competition through which she will be able to earn good money. This good money might be the key to her success. And she might be able to be use it in restarting her parent’s grocery store all over again
Coincidence or Faith?
To execute her plan, Christine needs a dance partner. It seems faith answers her wish in a twisted way, when she accidentally stumbles upon her ex-boyfriend. Exactly when she is hunting for a dance partner. Christine finds herself opening up to him, telling him about her parent’s grocery store. How it is soon to fall in the slumps. She tells him how she wants to start it again with a revamp, but needs the money to do so, money she can attain from a dance competition being held. The only con? She needs a partner.
In a strange twisted arrangement, her ex-boyfriend agrees to dance with her. He confesses that he still considers her as his friend and he will feel happy if he is able to help her, bringing both a sense of trepidation and yet, relief to Christine’s heart. And so, with her ex-boyfriend as her ex-partner, Christine begins her dance practice, which leads to unwanted feelings of a bridling romance swirling between them again. Despite their growing feelings, both of them have gone through heartbreak once.
Hence, they are equally scared of expressing their feelings for each other once again, afraid of the hurt this confession may cause.
