Plot
Middle school was nothing more than hell, or even worse for 15-year-old Uka Ishimori. Going through the years of middle school was maybe the most hellish and worst experience she ever had. Nicknamed ‘Rocky’ due to freezing up as still as a block of ice upon being confronted in front of people, her nature of being uncorresponding to conversations on confrontations ended up in her getting bullied endlessly throughout her whole middle school year.
Now, here as she starts a new week in the high school year, Uka still cannot help but feel anxious despite her desperate hopes to have a better experience this year. All that seems to go down the drain the first week into her high school year, when she is soaked in juice on accident by her classmate, Kai Miura, a guy with flashy lemon-colored hair she’s sure she has never laid eyes on.
Opposites Attract
From what it seems, the two are contrasting opposites. The difference between them is as vast as the difference between the sky and the ocean. Where she is rocky and shaken up easily, Yet despite these contrasts, Kai seems to encourage Uka to come out of her shell and open up, offering her a hand of help she had never been given before.
The closer the both of them grow, the more Uka starts to believe that she might be able to make herself a long-lasting friendship at last. She finds that she may be able to move past the lonely days of middle school with this new blossoming friendship, and wills herself to remain nothing more than friends- with Kai.
But things start to take a turn when this relationship seems to start blossoming into something more than just being friends, and Uka starts feeling more for Kai than just what a friend does.
